One of the most important ski resorts in Abruzzo and a destination for numerous tourists, both in winter and in summer: Rivisondoli is a small municipality located on a rocky outcrop at an altitude of 1320 metres above sea level. When walking through the historic town centre, you can still admire monuments and churches that have withstood the troubled history of these areas and, despite earthquakes and wars, still maintain the strong personality of the small town. A visit to the Living Nativity Scene on 5 January is a must.

Roccaraso, which is 4 km from the Cipriani Park Hotel, is one of the most famous tourist locations in the of the Apennine area. The green areas, the ski slopes and the presence of numerous hotels, shops and restaurants make it a very popular destination in both winter and summer.

Pescocostanzo has been added to the list of the "Most beautiful Villages in Italy" and is located just 3 km from the Cipriani Park Hotel. When walking through the village, looking at the churches, buildings and fountains, don't miss the craftsmen skilfully working on iron, wood and bobbin lace.

Sulmona is a cultural location not to be missed. It is famous all over the world for its production of "confetti" (sugared almonds), which began at the end of the 15th cent, and for being the birthplace of the Latin poet Ovid. The refined city, rich in history, is located 37 km from the Cipriani Park Hotel. Things worth seeing include the Swabian Aqueduct, an extraordinary example of medieval engineering dating back to 1256, the Fontana del Vecchio, a fountain from the Renaissance period, and the medieval and baroque buildings.

A karst plateau divided between the municipalities of Rocca Pia, Roccaraso and Rivisondoli, stretching for almost 9 km, at an altitude of between 1250 and 1280 metres above sea level. Crossed by State Highway 17, when driving along the Plateau you will notice pastures with horses, cows and sheep in the summer and a landscape of snow and ice in the winter. A true pleasure for the eyes.
